A Message from our Chief Executive Officer
It is a privilege to lead a Trust that is so deeply committed to improving the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Across our schools and services, I see every day the difference that strong relationships, specialist expertise, and an unwavering belief in children can make.
At The Gallery Trust, we are driven by a clear moral purpose: to ensure that every child feels safe, valued, and supported to achieve their potential. We know that progress looks different for every learner, and we celebrate success in all its forms – academic, personal, social, and emotional. Our work is grounded in compassion, ambition, and courage, and in the belief that inclusive, high-quality education can transform lives.
I am incredibly proud of our schools, our staff, and the communities we serve. The dedication, professionalism, and care shown by colleagues across the Trust is exceptional. Together, we work closely with families, partners, and local authorities to ensure that our provision continues to evolve and respond to the changing needs of children and young people.

The Gallery Trust at a Glance
Our Schools
Each Gallery Trust school is rooted in its local community while benefiting from Trust-wide collaboration.
Primary Special School (Ages 5–11)
- Northern House Academy (Oxford): Provision for pupils with SEMH and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
All-through Special Schools (Ages 2–19)
- Bardwell School (Bicester): Provision for pupils with PMLD, SLD, and Cognition and Learning needs.
- Mabel Prichard School (Oxford): Provision for pupils with PMLD, SLD, and Cognition and Learning needs.
- Springfield School (Witney): Provision for pupils with PMLD, SLD, and Cognition and Learning needs.
Primary to Secondary Special School (Ages 7–18)
- Bloxham Grove Academy (Bloxham): Provision for pupils with Cognition and Learning needs and associated SEMH and ASC.
Secondary Special Schools (Ages 10–18)
- Iffley Academy (Oxford): Provision for pupils with Cognition and Learning needs and associated SEMH and ASC.
- Orion Academy (Oxford): Provision for pupils with SEMH and ASC.
New Provision
- Artemis Academy: A new therapeutic special free school for students with SEMH and ASC, currently in pre-opening.
Our Pupils & Provision
The Trust makes provision for children and young people across the full range of Special Educational Needs:
- Pupils range from Early Years to post-16.
- All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Needs include Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
Our curriculum is structured through a Universal, Enhanced, and Bespoke Offer, ensuring every pupil receives the right level of support while maintaining ambition and aspiration.
Our Staff
Our success is built on the commitment, expertise, and care of our staff. The Gallery Trust employs over 450 colleagues, including:
- Teachers and specialist support staff
- Therapists and pastoral professionals
- Central services teams (Finance, HR, IT, and Operations)
We invest heavily in professional development, wellbeing, and leadership, recognising that thriving staff create thriving schools.
Outreach & Wider Services
Outreach
Our Trust Outreach Service works with schools beyond the Trust, sharing specialist SEND expertise across Oxfordshire to strengthen inclusive practice.
Short Breaks
We provide Short Breaks provision supporting children and their families, offering safe, enriching opportunities outside the school day and during holidays.
Training and Professional Development
The Gallery Trust is a centre of excellence for SEND training, offering:
- Initial Teacher Training (ITT): including a national SEND route.
- Early Career Teacher (ECT) support.
- NPQ programmes, including NPQSENCO.
Planning for the Future
As we move into our next phase, The Gallery Trust remains focused on:
- Strengthening leadership and governance.
- Embedding inclusive, evidence-informed practice.
- Expanding high-quality specialist provision to meet increasing demand.
